Cinder ยท Last updated April 24, 2026

Summary

Cinder does not have servers. Cinder does not have accounts. Cinder does not have analytics. Your health and fitness data never leaves your device.

What we do not collect

Cinder does not collect, transmit, or store your name, email, location, workout data, step counts, heart rate, route history, subscription preferences, or usage metrics. None of that information is sent anywhere by Cinder.

What data Cinder reads

Cinder reads workouts, step counts, heart rate, distance, active energy, flights climbed, and GPS routes from Apple Health with your permission. This data is read on your device, displayed inside Cinder, and never transmitted off your device by Cinder.

What Apple knows

When you subscribe to Cinder, Apple handles the purchase. Apple knows you bought a subscription; Cinder does not see your name, email, or billing information. Apple's standard privacy policy applies to that transaction.

Crash reports

Cinder does not ship with any third-party analytics or crash reporting. If you opt into Apple's system-level "Share with App Developers" diagnostics in iOS Settings, anonymized crash logs may be delivered to Apple and relayed to the developer. This is opt-in and controlled by you in iOS Settings, not inside Cinder.

Children

Cinder is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we ever materially change how Cinder handles data โ€” for example by introducing optional cloud sync โ€” we will update this page and notify users in-app before the change takes effect.
